 Meet our Mascot - Galen!

Galen is never far away when his mom is crocheting, or working at the laptop, or gardening, or pretty much whenever I'm home.  He will be 8 years old this summer and his little sister Maya lives with some people we know a few blocks away.  He is a domestic short hair, maybe with some Rex mixed in and as any one who has stopped by could tell you, in spite of his intense fear of toddlers, he's actually an incredibly friendly cat.  In fact, maybe a little too friendly - he has a particular fondness for anyone who is allergic to him or doesn't guard their dinner plate well enough.

It's hard to tell from the photo, but he really is a sweet cat, he just happens to hate the camera flash.
