materials:

size "G" hook
brown or tan worsted weight yarn
small amount of black yarn
black felt
blue felt
glue (suitable for fabric - I used Aleene's Tacky Glue)
yarn needle
fiberfil

notes:

body is made in two pieces, front and back

Rnd 1: starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc across, 3 sc in last ch, working back across sc in unused loops of starting ch, 2 more sc in same st as first sc, join w/ sl st to 1st sc
Rnd 2: ch 1, 2 sc in same st, 2 sc, (2 sc in next st) 3x, 2 sc, (2 sc in next st) 2x, join w/ sl st
Rnd 3: ch 1, sc in same st, 2 sc in next st, 3 sc, (2 sc in next st, sc) 2x, 2 sc in next st, 3 sc, 2 sc in next st, sc, 2 sc in next st, join w/ sl st

arms/legs: (make 4)

Rnd 1,2: same as ears
Rnd 3: ch 1, sc in same st, 2 sc in next st, (sc, 2 sc in next st) around, join w/ sl st
Rnd 4-18: ch 1, sc in same st and around, join w/ sl st

assembly:
- stuff legs, arms, and ears lightly
- sew halves of body together attaching legs, arms and ears as you go
- stuff body before completing last few stitches (body should remain more or less flat)

eye and nose template.  blue of eye should be cut out as an oval, with black pupil glued on top

- cut eyes from felt (blue background, black pupil) and glue in place
- cut nose from black felt and glue in place
- with black yarn, embroider mouth
