And you want to hit the wall and yell...
Here's a little dammit doll
That you can't do without.
Just grasp it firmly by the legs
And find a place to slam it

materials:

size "G" hook
small amounts of: 2 shades of brown, 1 flesh tone, red, blue
small amount of fiber-fil
tapestry or yarn needle

notes:

-colors are only suggestions, these are referred to in pattern, but you may use any color you wish
-unless otherwise directed, always work in both loops
-decrease (dec) - draw up a loop in ea of next sts, yo, draw through all 3 loops on hook

pattern:

legs: (make 2)

with lighter brown, ch 5
Rnd 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 2 ch, 3 sc in last ch, sc in un-used loops of next 2 ch, 2 sc in last un-used loop, join w/ sl st to 1st sc
Rnd 2: ch 1, sc in same st and in ea st around, join w/ sl st to 1st sc
Rnd 3: ch 1, sc in same st and in next 3 sts, sk next 4 sts, sc in last 4 sts, join w/ sl st to 1st sc; 8 sc
Rnd 4: ch 1, sc in ea sc of prev Rnd, changing to blue on last sc
Rnd 5-10: ch 1, sc in same st and in ea st around, join w/ sl st to 1st sc
finish off
lightly stuff legs

arms: (make 2)

Rnd 1: with flesh tone - ch 2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join w/ sl st to 1st sc
Rnd 2: ch 1, sc in same st and in ea st around
Rnd 3: ch 1, 2 sc in same sc and in next sc, sc in ea remaining sc, join w/ sl st to 1st sc; 7 sc
Rnd 4: ch 1, dec 2 (thumb made), sc in ea remaining sc - changing to red on last sc, join w/ sl st to 1st st; 5 sc
Rnd 5-8: ch 1, sc in ea sc around, join w/ sl st to 1st sc

body and head:

-hold legs with toes pointing out
with blue, join legs with sc through both legs, sc in both legs again (in next un-used sts)
Rnd 1: sc around 1st leg (6 sc), sc in un-used sts of 2nd leg, join w/ sl st to first sc on 1st leg only; 12 sc total
Rnd 2-3: ch 1, sc in ea sc around, join w/ sl st to 1st sc
Rnd 4: ch 1, sc in ea sc around (only in inner loop - leaving un-used loops on outside of doll), changing to red in last sc, join w/ sl st to 1st sc
Rnd 5: ch 1, (working in outer loop of prev Rnd AND in un-used loops of row before that) (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, join w/ sl st to 1st; 18 sc
Rnd 6-10: ch 1, sc in ea sc around, join w/ sl st to 1st sc

Rnd 17: ch 1, sc in same st and in next 2 sc, (2 sc in next st) 2x, 4 sc, (2 sc in next st) 2x, 3 sc, join w/ sl st to 1st sc
Rnd 18-20: ch 1, sc in ea sc around, join w/ sl st to 1st sc
Rnd 21: ch 1, sc in same st and in next 2 sc, dec 2, 4 sc, dec 2, 3 sc, join w/ sl st to 1st sc
cut yarn leaving 6" tail

details:

-with dark brown, stitch cris-crosses on feet for shoe laces and tie in a bow (this will close holes left in feet)
-with dark brown, stitch face. French knots for eyes, straight st for mouth (or 2 to make smile)
-Hair. tie 12 lengths (approx. 4") of dark brown together with fat knot in center
-stuff doll
-weave tail left on head through last Rnd to form drawstring
-fold hair at knot, and place knot in opening at top of head.
-pull drawstring tight
-tie and finish off
-weave in ends back to Patterns
