Envelope Clutch

materials:

size "I" hook
worsted weight yarn in 2 colors
one large sew-on snap
one decorative button
yarn needle
other needle and thread if you need it for your snap and button

pattern:

chain 2
Row 1: in 2nd chain from hook (half double crochet, single crochet, half double crochet), chain 1, turn
Row 2-20: (half double crochet, single crochet) in 1st stitch, (half double crochet in single crochet, single crochet in half double crochet) across, half double crochet in last single crochet, (single crochet, half double crochet) in last stitch, chain 1, turn
Finish off.

Fold triangle like an envelope & sew in place.

Flap:
with accent color
Row 1: join with single crochet at edge of back of bag, single crochet across back, chain 1, turn; 19 stitches
Row 2: single crochet across, chain 1, turn
Row 3: decrease, 15 single crochet, decrease, chain 1, turn
Row 4: decrease, 13 single crochet, decrease, chain 1, turn
Row 5: decrease, 11 single crochet, decrease, chain 1, turn
Row 6: decrease, 9 single crochet, decrease, chain 1, turn
Row 7: decrease, 7 single crochet, decrease, chain 1, turn
Row 8: decrease, 5 single crochet, decrease, chain 1, turn
Row 9: decrease, 3 single crochet, decrease, chain 1, turn
Row 10: decrease, single crochet, decrease
Finish off.
Weave in all ends.

Fig. 4 - Attach one side of snap to inside of flap opposite button, and other side to front of bag.
