Weave in ends
Block as necessary to keep shape.
The row done in contrasting color should look like a heart near the top of each point around coaster, 9 in all.
Variation the hearts may be worked separately as well. Omit ch 4 in between hearts, and start each heart individual by joining with a double crochet. In a single color or an ombre (variegated color), this would leave unnecessary ends, but it is the best way if you want several different colors.
