to work shell: sk 2 dc, (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in next dc, sk 2 dc, sc in next dc; shell completed
with tapestry needle and cotton yarn, blanket stitch across short edge of towel
to create 49 loops (or ch 49 loosely and use sewing needle and thread to attach
to towel
Row 1: join w/ sc, sc across; 49 sc
Row 2: ch 3, turn (counts as 1st dc) dc across; 49 dc
Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc in 1st st, work 8 shells
finish off
weave in ends
