4 Leaf Clover Doily

materials:

Size “0” steel hook
White size “10” crochet thread
Kelly Green size “10” crochet thread

pattern:

With green,
Ch 4, join w/ sl st to form ring
Rnd. 1:  (ch 10, sc in ring) 4 times
Rnd 2:  work (3 sc, 3 dc, 3 tr, ch 1, 3 tr, 3 dc, 3 sc) in ea loop of prev round
Finish off

With white,
Rnd 3:  join w/ dc to any ch-1 sp in the end of a leaf, (2 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in same sp, ch 12, * (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in next ch-1 sp, ch 12, rep from * around, join w/ sl st to 1st dc
Rnd 4:  sl st in ea of next 2 dc, sl st in ch-1 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in same sp, ch 20, * (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in next ch-1 sp, ch 20, rep from * around, join w/ sl st to 3rd beg ch
Rnd 5:  sl st in ea of next 2 dc, sl st in ch-1 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in same sp, ch 12, (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in middle of ch-20 loop, ch 12, * (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in next ch-1 sp, ch 12, (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) ch 12, rep from * around, join w/ sl st to 3rd beg ch
Rnd 6:  sl st in ea of next 2 dc, sl st in ch-1 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in same sp, ch 8, (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in ch-12 sp, ch 8, (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in ch-1 sp, continue in this manner around, join w/ sl st to 3rd beg ch
Rnd 7:  sl st in ea of next 2 dc, sl st in ch-1 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in same sp, (3 dc, ch 1, 6 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in ch-8 sp, (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in ch 1 sp, continue around, join w/ sl st to 3rd beg ch 

Finish off, weave in ends, and block as desired.

optional border:

With green,
Join w/ sc to any st in Rnd 7, sc in ea sc and ch-sp around, join w/ sl st to 1st sc
Finish off.

Block as necessary to keep shape.
