Chocolate Bunny

materials:
size "I" hook
brown (or other chocolate color) yarn
fiber-fil or cotton for stuffing

special instructions:
decrease: draw up a loop in each of next 2 stitch, yarn over, draw through all 3 loops (counts as single crochet)
treble crochet: yarn over, draw up a loop from next stitch, yarn over, (draw through 2 loops) 3 times

NOTE: all un-used stitch loops will be inside the bunny

pattern:
chain 6
Row 1: single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and across, chain 1, turn; 5 single crochet
Row 2: single crochet in front loop only across, chain 1, turn
Row 3: single crochet in back loop only across, chain 1, turn
Row 4: repeat row 2
Row 5: repeat row 3
fold back (keeping un-used loops inside)
Row 6: single crochet in side of end stitch in row 4, single crochet in each stitch in row 5, single crochet in side of end stitch of row 4; 7 single crochet
Row 7: single crochet in side of end stitch in row 3, single crochet in each of 5 center stitches in row 6, single crochet in side of end stitch in row 3; 7 single crochet
===>CHANGE TO ROUNDS!!
Rnd 1: single crochet in side of end stitches of rows 1 & 2, single crochet across beginning chain, single crochet in side of end stitches of rows 1 & 2, single crochet in middle 5 stitches of row 7; 14 single crochet
Rnd 2-5: single crochet around
Rnd 6: 3 single crochet, 2 single crochet in each of next 3 single crochet, 1 single crochet in each single crochet around; 17 stitches
Rnd 7: single crochet around
Rnd 8: 3 single crochet, decrease 3, 8 single crochet; 14 single crochet
Rnd 9-10: single crochet around
Rnd 11: 9 single crochet, 2 double crochet, 1 single crochet, 2 double crochet
Rnd 12: 9 single crochet, 2 treble crochet, 1 single crochet, 2 treble crochet
Rnd 13: single crochet around
Rnd 14: decrease 1, 5 single crochet, decrease 1, 5 single crochet; 12 single crochet
lightly stuff body (not feet)
Rnd 15: decrease 1, 3 single crochet, decrease 1, 5 single crochet; 10 single crochet
Rnd 16: 5 single crochet, 2 single crochet each in next 5 single crochet; 15 single crochet
Rnd 17: single crochet around
Rnd 18: 5 single crochet, decrease 2, 2 single crochet, decrease 2; 11 single crochet
Rnd 19: 5 single crochet, 3 decrease; 8 single crochet
lightly stuff head
Rnd 20-23: single crochet around
join with slip stitch
working in 2 stitches at a time, 4 slip stitches across to close top of ears
finish off
