Dammit Doll

materials:

size "G" hook
small amounts of: 2 shades of brown, 1 flesh tone, red, blue
small amount of fiber-fil
tapestry or yarn needle

notes:

-colors are only suggestions, these are referred to in pattern, but you may use any color you wish
-unless otherwise directed, always work in both loops
-decrease - draw up a loop in each of next stitches, yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook

pattern:

legs: (make 2)

with lighter brown, chain 5
Rnd 1: single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and next 2 chain, 3 single crochet in last chain, single crochet in un-used loops of next 2 chain, 2 single crochet in last un-used loop, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
Rnd 2: chain 1, single crochet in same stitch and in each stitch around, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
Rnd 3: chain 1, single crochet in same stitch and in next 3 stitches, skip next 4 stitches, single crochet in last 4 stitches, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet; 8 single crochet
Rnd 4: chain 1, single crochet in each single crochet of previous Round, changing to blue on last single crochet
Rnd 5-10: chain 1, single crochet in same stitch and in each stitch around, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
finish off
lightly stuff legs

arms: (make 2)

Rnd 1: chain 2, 5 single crochet in 2nd chain from hook, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
Rnd 2: chain 1, single crochet in same stitch and in each stitch around
Rnd 3: chain 1, 2 single crochet in same single crochet and in next single crochet, single crochet in each remaining single crochet, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet; 7 single crochet
Rnd 4: chain 1, decrease 2 (thumb made), single crochet in each remaining single crochet - changing to red on last single crochet, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet; 5 single crochet
Rnd 5-8: chain 1, single crochet in each single crochet around, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
finish off

body and head:

-hold legs with toes pointing out
with blue, join legs with single crochet through both legs, single crochet in both legs again (in next un-used stitches)
Rnd 1: single crochet around 1st leg (6 single crochet), single crochet in un-used stitches of 2nd leg, join with slip stitch to first single crochet on 1st leg only; 12 single crochet total
Rnd 2-3: chain 1, single crochet in each single crochet around, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
Rnd 4: chain 1, single crochet in each single crochet around (only in inner loop - leaving un-used loops on outside of doll), changing to red in last single crochet, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
Rnd 5: chain 1, (working in outer loop of prev Rnd AND in un-used loops of row before that) (single crochet in next single crochet, 2 single crochet in next single crochet) around, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet; 18 single crochet
Rnd 6-10: chain 1, single crochet in each single crochet around, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
Rnd 11: chain 1, single crochet in same stitch and in next 4 single crochet, next single crochet through body and bottom stitch on arm (hold arm thumb side up), 8 single crochet on body only, next single crochet through body and bottom stitch on arm, 4 single crochet on body only, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
Rnd 12: chain 1, single crochet in same stitch, and next 4 single crochet, single crochet ion 1st un-used stitch on arm, single crochet in last un-used stitch on arm, skip 1 single crochet on body, 8 single crochet on body only, single crochet in 1st un-used stitch on arm, single crochet in last un-used stitch on arm, skip 1 single crochet on body, 4 single crochet on body only, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet

Rnd 14: chain 1, single crochet in same stitch, decrease 3, 3 single crochet, decrease 2, single crochet 1, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet, changing to flesh tone in last single crochet
Rnd 15: chain 1, single crochet in each single crochet around, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
Rnd 16: chain 1, single crochet in same stitch and in next single crochet, (2 single crochet in next stitch) 2 times, 2 single crochet, (2 single crochet in next stitch) 2 times, 2 single crochet, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
Rnd 17: chain 1, single crochet in same stitch and in next 2 single crochet, (2 single crochet in next stitch) 2 times, 4 single crochet, (2 single crochet in next stitch) 2 times, 3 single crochet, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
Rnd 18-20: chain 1, single crochet in each single crochet around, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
Rnd 21: chain 1, single crochet in same stitch and in next 2 single crochet, decrease 2, 4 single crochet, decrease 2, 3 single crochet, join with slip stitch to 1st single crochet
cut yarn leaving 6" tail

details:

-with dark brown, stitch cris-crosses on feet for shoe laces and tie in a bow (this will close holes left in feet)
-with dark brown, stitch face. French knots for eyes, straight stitch for mouth (or 2 to make smile)
-Hair. tie 12 lengths (approx. 4") of dark brown together with fat knot in center
-stuff doll
-weave tail left on head through last Rnd to form drawstring
-fold hair at knot, and place knot in opening at top of head.
-pull drawstring tight
-tie and finish off
-weave in ends
