Granny Daughter

materials:

any size hook (usually "H" or "I" give a good size)
small amount of any yarn (worsted or sport weight probably best)

notes:

this is basically the first round of a granny square with minor adjustments

pattern:

chain 6, slip stitch in 1st chain to form ring
Rnd 1: chain 3 (counts as first double crochet), 2 double crochet in ring, chain 2, (3 double crochet in ring, chain 2) 3 times, join to 3rd beginning chain with slip stitch
finish off
weave in ends
