materials:

2 2.5oz skeins Shades of Blue
1 3oz skein White
1 3oz skein Light Periwinkle
size "H" hook

notes:

--afghan is worked lengthwise
--to work V-stitch (V-st) - (dc, ch 1, dc) in same st or sp

pattern:

with Shades of Blue, ch 132
Foundation Row: V-st in 4th ch from hook (sk 2 ch, V-st in next ch) across, dc in last ch; 39 V's
Pattern Row: ch 3, V-st in ea V-st across (in ch-sps), dc in 3rd beg ch of prev row

color sequence:

-3 rows blue
-1 row white
---ending with 3 rows blue

finishing:

-w/ white, dc across last row of afghan and also across beg ch
-border: hdc around afghan with periwinkle, placing 3 hdc in ea corner st
